10 Months
In 10 months, Levi, you've gone from my baby to my little boy. You're such a delightful little fellow. I may be partial , but you're the happiest baby I've ever seen. You love to ride in the grocery cart at Meijer and there isn't an ederly person in the store who doesn't stop and say hello. Never to me, only to you. You'll jabber with anyone who looks your direction. Your Dad says you sound an awful lot like the Tazmanian Devil when you talk. It's 90 miles an hour with not a second to stop for air. At home you revel in your newfound abilities. We constantly put your toys back in their rightful spots only for you to come along and scatter them about just the way you like them. We put you in your pack-n-play while we do the laundry to keep you from falling down the stairs and it makes you fuming mad for about 15 seconds. Then you realize that you can stand up and peer over the edge. This makes you so proud of yourself. When we finally get you out you wreak havic and leave a trail of disaster in your wake. Starting in the kitchen you pull the cans off the shelves, in the living room you pull the books off the bookcase, but your favorite event occurs when you get to the bathroom. One by one you push the shampoo bottles into the bathtub. You think it's even more fun if there's still water in the tub. The splashes make you squeal with delight. One of your favorite games is chasing the vacuum. I would have thought for sure it would terrify a little guy of your size, but it's your mission to try to catch the light on the front. Moab runs in the opposite direction when we turn it on, but he always comes back to make sure it didn't get you. Your dog loves you, Levi. He's so tolerant of you, even when you stick your fingers in his ears or up his nose. You've been known to pull tufts of hair off his belly and he doesn't even flinch. You're one lucky guy to have a dog as great as Moab. Fortunately Moab is lucky to have you too. You're learning a little bit about gravity every night at dinner and Moab reaps the rewards of your trials. We're fortunate to have Moab too! Less mess for Mommy and Daddy! Unfortunately your new found intelligence can hinder you as well. You've learned to pull yourself to standing in your crib, but in the darkness you get scared and can't seem to figure out how to sit back down. You'll stand there in the corner and cry until we come lay you back down. You're getting quite stubborn too. When you see something you want and we won't let you have it you're sure to let us know. As always, though, we take the good with the bad and it's been an amazing 10 months. Here's to many more. Cheers little buddy!
